Advocacy

No, we're not talking about Israel advocacy or domestic policy - we're talking about advocating for you. For your community, for religious life on campus, and for the fruition of those efforts. We don't believe the two are incompatible, but there are some conflicts that come up between observing Judaism and participating in college life. Below are a few common issues that come up, but the ideas and strategies outlines therein might be relevant and useful for other scenarios as well.

Advocating for Kosher food

Let's say you don't have kosher food on your campus. Or not enough. Or not kosher enough. Check out this guide to see about changing that! It's not so simple, but this guide makes it easier and includes many helpful resources. No promises here, but we're more than happy to work with you all along this process.

Shabbat-accesibility Advocacy

Two frequently unavoidable ones are tests or graduation dates that fall on Shabbat/chag, and electronic access to dorms. This guide walks you through different approaches to take, including case studies from other universities, and helpful resources.
